Here’s how it works:
- Start by signing up and then mailing your credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to us. Please do not fax or email your reports for security reasons. We can help you obtain your credit reports if you do not currently have them.
- Once we have received your 3 credit reports, we will process your information into our database. You will then be able to choose which items you would like to dispute online. It’s just as simple as that!
- We will use our knowledge and credit repair experiences to dispute and challenge the items with the credit bureaus. The disputing process time period will ultimately depend on the the number of items you wish to have cleared.
According to the FCRA, the credit bureaus have 30 days to file and investigate your dispute. They then must inform you of their results as well as send you , free of charge, an updated version of your credit report. The entire process usually takes 60 days from the day we transmit a dispute to the day you receive an updated report. It is important to forward each updated report to Credit America so we can accurately and efficiently track which items have been removed. Please do this by making a copy of the updated report for your records and sending the original to us. This cycle will continue until the last item has been disputed
