The survey has been designed to allow customers to express their opinions on what they like and don’t like about them. Marks & Spencer listen to their customers and what they have to say. You will need:

1. To be over 18 years of age.
2. A store receipt from M&S.
3. A computer and internet access.


1. Visit on your computer.
2. You can view the Prize Draw Rules, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy here.
3. Click on the area indicated to start the survey.
4. To begin you will need to enter the unique code as it is printed on your M&S store receipt. The numbers are in groups of three. Example: 1234 567 891011.
5. Next enter the time and the date of your visit. This can be found printed on your store receipt. Then click ‘NEXT’.
6. The survey will now begin by asking some general questions about your visit such as which department of the store did you visit the day you went to M&S? And, Was it easy to find your way around the store? Answer the questions accurately.
7. On completion, you will be able to enter the M&S survey sweepstakes. Enter your name and address and other contact information into the area provided.

    I live close by and being a pensioner i can choose to shop at times when it is not so busy. I have always found the staff courteous friendly and helpful, I shop at Bangor Co Down N Ireland. I purchase food and ladies clothing. I enjoy the sales in the clothing department as I am a pensioner with a limited budget. The food I buy is fresh so it lasts longer than other stores.
    i am a fan of M&S and my family give me vouchers for presents . I especially like the afternoon tea and the poinsettia plants which lasts longer from M&S than anywhere else,

    I have never had any problem with M & S Staff In Falkirk Retail Park. Always very helpful in answering queries. Very pleasant interactive conversation with customers. Well laid out store with a good variety of food especially the £10 food deals every two weeks definitely value for money and this includes your wine. I shop here most days and enjoy their food. Your staff especially the young lady called Lesley who served us today are excellent.

    Fantastic customer service in Cowley. I was travelling from Gatwick to Oxford and arrived too late to buy my daughter’s favourite gluten free birthday cake from M and S. The main store was closed. The Cowley duty manager collected 2 cakes and drove to the station outlet with them for me to collect when I arrived by train around 7.30pm last Friday.(11th) Our family ( from Oxford, Coventry, Crawley) all met up to celebrate. A rare event these days. It made my day to be able to get the cake after all. Big thank you to Cowley store!!!

  9. I would just like to say what a joy it is to vusit the cafe in Marks and Spencer’s in Norwich. Every Monday and Friday i have my granddaughter of 16mths and she has breakfast in there.The staff are so friendly and always welcome you in with s happy face and a smile . One member of staff in particular ‘Kimmy’. Such a ray of sunshine an absolute asset to her colleagues and the store. my granddaughter adores kimmy and our visit wouldn’t be the same without her. This is just one of the reasons I go bsck each time. Well done Kimmy and thank you .

    I have been serve at the till today and I found it very pleasant to be greeted with a smile and quickly served. I go frequently to the MS shop in Uxbridge since many years and I will always be back. I can only recommend the friendly staff and the quality of material .

    My elderly Mum and I visit the Meadowhall store quite frequently. We have always found the service to be especially good. We often eat in the cafe where the food is always of the highest quality.
    On Friday 10/03/17 we made purchases in store of shoes and a top, we were served by Helen from lingerie, who was very pleasant and helpful, and looked for offers on the sparks for us, unfortunately there weren’t any, this time. as both items were going in the same bag, Helen wrapped the top in some tissue paper to ensure it wasn’t snagged on the shoes, what a god idea. So often this service doesn’t happen and you end up, almost, with a bag of screwed up pieces of clothing. Thank you Helen, when we got home the top was put straight on a coat hanger, no creases ready to wear.
    The one thing I would ask, given that my Mum is 89 this year, and often tires, is that more chairs are dotted around store so she, and others in her position, can have a rest in between looking at the super goods on offer.

    Visited M&S at Meadowhall on 30 /01/ 17. Totally overawed by all the clothes in the women’s department. I asked a member of staff, Sue Clapham from the food department, for some help. Sue assisted me to find slippers, a cardigan and a formal pair of trousers in a very efficient, professional, focused and friendly way. Her manner and attitude made me feel valued as a customer.     I visited the M&S St Helens store on 15 December 2016 to purchase an Autograph jumper which I could get 20% off with my Sparks Card. I asked an assistant, Janine, where they were. Janine was very helpful and told me that the store didn’t stock them anymore and I would either have to visit a larger store, or go online to purchase and have the jumper delivered to the St Helens store. I could still use the Sparks card online to claim the discount.

  30. I recently visited your Bournemouth store and was greeted very pleasantly. I had a bra measurement at little notice to the staff and the young lady who saw to me was extremely chatty and very kind. A previous experience at your Chichester branch was not so well received…
    AYca completely put me at ease ( due to previous experience) and I found the whole affair much easier.

    I find the Dover Store very pleasant to shop in, although not a large store, it is great for the M&S main buys, eg, food, underwear, casual tops and trousers. It is very convenient and the staff are all pleasant, especially Sharon R who served me last week.
    I understand that with the new development being undertaken in Dover, we are to lose our store. Although a new M&S Store will be built, I understand it is for food only, so do hope the ‘powers that be’ leave our High Street store selling clothes and accessories.

It was about 1800hrs in the Cheshire Oaks store. They were not picking up. She went off and found the item on foot instead.

    Hello, I was very impressed with my first visit to MandS Longbridge, Birmingham. We were greeted and asked about a Sparks Card, which I later picked up and had points added on even before I had activated the card. I bought a pair of shoes, as they were £39 the assistant told me about the £10 beauty box if I spent another pound. I went into the food hall, picked up a small item and went back to the checkout to another assistant. Who tried to ring it through and then I was told it didn’t include food items. So I ran off and got a greetings card returning to the same assistant, and bought the beauty box. I met up with my partner who had found some merino wool socks to replace ones he was very pleased with also from MandS. We visited the cafe, where there was a fantastic self service array of beautiful cakes, but no way to shop them as there were no plates. We had to ask twice for plates and a member of staff eventually brought them. There seemed to be a gap in oversight of the running there. However staff were polite and willing and we were impressed by the view over the balcony where people were sitting outside. The coffee and cake and a smoked salmon bagel were very nice indeed. Later I was given good service by a young man in the linens department where I wanted to price a complete set of 100% cotton bedding for and elderly relative. He went through the options and wrote a list for me. We would definitely come here again. The layout is bright and airy, not cramped, and a good variety of departments.Parking was free for 3 hours, and I had been delighted to see a living wall ‘picture’ on the wall of MandS which was very pretty.

    I have shopped for many, many years, in various M&S stores, Currently I shop at your store in Cheshunt, Brookfield. Always been extremely satisfied with members of staff, very courteous and helpful, could not find better service anywhere else. The clothes and food I buy, always excellent.

    Today however I tried to do the survey on my computer to enter the £250 prize draw, but was unable to do this as for some reason it would not let me get into it. Still, this does not mean I will stop shopping at M&S, as I always enjoy shopping there and love their cream teas!!

  52. I found the store staff very helpful. The range of clothes that the store had was very colourful, varied designs and plenty to choose from. The cafe and toilets were very clean
    with adequite serviettes, toilet rolls and paper towels.

    The store staff were very helpful and and friendly. There was a varied range of styles, colours and sizes to meet most peoples needs and ideas. Most of the outfits could be matched coloured wise and style wise. The cafe and toilets were very clean with adequate cutlery, napkins and paper towels. I enjoy shopping at Marks and Spencer.

    I shop at Chichester M & S every Tuesday morning at about 9am. I would like to comment on two aspect s of the Chichester branch. Firstly, the shelves are always stacked with a wide and excellent variety of food, wine and flowers. So it is very easy and quick for me to make a selection of the items I need. Secondly, the staff are outstandingly helpful, cheerful and courteous. I normally meet up with Linda, who looks after the bread area, and Tricia, who is at one of the’check outs’. Both are shining examples of the staff you employ. I, invariably, see the Manager on my walk round and I always make a point of telling him about the excellent quality of the staff I meet durng my shop, and extol their virtues.
    Your Bognor branch has only opened recently, and so I haven’t had the opportunity of going there. I am sure that they will produce the same high standards that exist at the Chichester banch.

    This morning I visited M & S in Swansea City Centre, I was served by a Lovely Lady called Katie Jones . I cannot praise Katie enough for here wonderful Customer Care, assistance and advice with my purchases, it truly made my day. Even though the store was busy Katie took the time to explain what offers were available to me and was so kind as to fetch them for me from the floor below. If M & S have an employee of the month scheme then Katie should truly be considered for it, what a wonderful caring and considerate person. I have never commented before on any website but after today’s amazing experience I had to.

    I visit the store in Guiseley – Yorkshire at least once a week for food shopping. Always a great experience – the staff are always friendly and so helpful – I have to travel further for clothes etc. but so handy having the convenience of groceries on my doorstep.

    I have always shopped at M & S for the past 30 years easily. I have always thought the service, food, quality and everything associated with the store was great. However, recently I have had the misfortune of having to return some food items. I used to never bother but then on looking at the produce and the price I thought well, no I am not throwing away good money. On the first occasion it was strawberries which were moulded in the container, I took them back the lady at customer services was pleasant enough but I had to go and get a new container of strawberries, brought them back to the counter and that was that. Next only a couple of weeks later the same thing happened this time with raspberries, again I returned them was asked to go and pick a new packet myself bring them back to the counter and that was that. The third occasion was a packet of cold ham with I had picked up in a “3 for £7.00” deal, the other two packets were fine, but this one was actually dated 20 August 2015 and I had bought it on 24 August 2015 not noticing the date at the time. I returned it, this time the service was what it should have been the first two times, I was refunded my money back, given a £5.00 gift voucher and a replacement which is no less than I would have expected. Pity it wasn’t like that the first two times and I had to actually complain that this was the third time I had to return produce over a short period of time.

    I just popped into M&S Rickmansworth for some lunch time snacks for our weekly get together at the ‘Repair Shed’ in Hemel Hempstead. As always, ‘ALL’ the staff were very welcoming and eager to help someone who doesn’t usually do the shopping. They took great trouble to show me precisely where everything was, guiding me to the freshest snacks at amazing good value.
    Although it isn’t that regular for me to shop, I ALWAYS look forward to visiting M&S and Waitrose because of the cheerfulness of the staff and the neat, light and airy way the stores are organised. Apart from always having the best quality of foods, the prices are also always such good value.

    I visited the Stratford upon Avon branch today as I do most weeks, I was served by Alison at 11.48am, receipt no 3243 111 454372. The Cafeteria was almost full today and quite noisy but the staff were very friendly and accommodating as always. My Flat white coffee was perfect (I wouldn’t go anywhere else)! My only negative comment is that the poor staff have such a cramped area to work in although they cope very well. Full Marks!

    I shopped at Marks & Spencers in Eltham yesterday when collecting goods I had ordered and I was served by Pat. She was extremely helpful and a really pleasant and kind person to speak to, who advised me as I wished to order something, and actually put me on the right track. I have to say, I am a great advocate for Marks & Spencer – I have been for many years now – the clothing is extremely good, as are the food varieties within the store. Everyone I speak to says the same.     Service in store today was excellent. I cannot say the same for the survey! having wasted time filling in the boxes it then refused to move on near the end. Grumpy with your survey but not at all with the Brentwood M&S staff – in the Food Hall. I was served by Pat Bailey who was friendly, efficient and knew the store had hardly any chocolates because there was an end of term rush to buy chocs for teachers!

  93. I went to the Order desk at the Darlington Store, and the lady who was dealing with orders and collection (Sarah) was so very helpful. She very kindly sourced a suit,( which my son wanted for his wedding) by taking the time to ring several stores to find out if any were available. I managed to get the trousers and waistcoat from the Metro centre near Newcastle upon Tyne, and the jacket is being collected from the Taunton, Somerset store by a member of my family who lives near Bristol!!!
    It was a long and time consuming process – a HUGE thank you to her, and to the staff on the Mens payment counter at the Metro centre for their help and friendliness.

    All the staff at the Brookfield store in Cheshunt are very helpfull, usually under difficult circumstances, Management even expects the staff at the Customer Service desk to go round and sweep the floor every hour!! then come back and have to apologise for keeping the customers waiting. Come on M & S you must have cleaning staff for this purpose. And would the management please stop moving things around every five minutes!! Its very annoying for the customers and it must be a nightmare for the staff to keep up with all the changes. I was served at the desk by Chris Aslam who was very helpfull as are all of your staff.

    M&S at Milton Keynes (near Primark) is a nice relaxing store where its a pleasure to browse and take time to choose. The displays of furniture etc. are first class. Café is nice and airy. Altogether a lovely store and pleasure to visit.

    Bad start to M&S store visit today. My wife had to return pair of trousers which did not suit her. She was as per usual attended to by a very friendly and efficient member of staff. On the way out she spotted a lovely summer dress which fitted her perfectly, this put a big smile on her face. This will do me for the garden party, the golden wedding AND our cruise she said, this put a big smile on my face. Isn’t life wonderful!

As she is gluten and dairy intolerant this snack was impossible to purchase, what she was offered all contained milk. This is not a very good advert for a so called national company.     I have always been extremely blown away by the professional and kind help that is always there at M&S, if I could just point out that if there was a little more staff on the ground particularly the Lingerie dpt, and less merchandise on display as it’s difficult manouvering around tightly packed rails, as people my age 73 yrs( not me I would add as I try and replace clothes even though I was not the culpprit) find it difficult to replace back onto the rails. Less is more .

    Having selected our goods which there was not enough on the shelves. we went to checkout to pay to find a shortage of operators on the main ladies tills only two people serving on a busy sunday . I cannot believe that this was so as having seen the news in the past m & s have not being making not enough money lately no wonder why . Having said that the lady was most apologetic to us about the long wait .Then to top that we went upstairs for a drink to find chaos there people chasing each other trying to give you a drink & clearing tables at the same time .obviously you need more staff then you may make more money.

  141. Had lunch at the Cardiff store, served by Anita who was very pleasant. Lunch is always very good but I felt that Anita who was on the till alone was pushed to the limit. Had to serve, take the payments and make the tea and coffee, this resulted in queues. I feel on lunch hours (12 – 2) extra staff to make the tea and coffee was needed. Still the lunch was excellent.

    I duly picked up another bag and only on checking when i returned home found i had been charged the full £6 less £1 discount for 3 bags.
    You MUST train your checkout staff better, how bizarre and happy easter!

    Had a very exhausting and unsuccessful shopping trip to Camberley. The stores were all full of loud music. And sales assistants who didnt really want to assist. It was like an oasis of calm when I went Into M&S.There was music but it was not blaring and the assistants very helpful, found just what I was looking for.

      I was therefore unable to complete it. I also noticed that many of the
      questions asked were repetative – this can be annoying.

      I recently visited the Cowes Food Hall for the first time. Very impressive
